interest in evaluating new technology partners.

Congratulations on your new role as CIO! As a new executive, I understand you’re looking to make your mark and set the organization up for success. Our experience may be able to assist here, as Cisco is the trusted technology provider for over 17,000 healthcare organizations. We handle everything from infrastructure, to collaboration, to security.

With our healthcare customers, I’ve been seeing a lot of emphasis on patient data security, telehealth, and employee retention. I also know that infrastructure uptime for a hospital is paramount. Task 2 Example Answer

For this Task, I chose Cisco’s Meraki product..

Cisco’s Meraki product is cloud-managed networking hardware that includes firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and more. Meraki provides an online dashboard to manage all devices in a customer’s network, which allows for easy changes and visibility across the entire organization

In addition, the ease of use saves time and effort for IT professionals, so they can spend their days focusing on other tasks. Meraki’s firewall product also secures the network against outside threats and protects data, which is especially important in a healthcare environment. Lastly, Meraki also handles physical security through a line of cloud-managed cameras and sensors

One customer story that I found interesting was Hospital Sisters Health System, linked here:

In this scenario, the customer’s infrastructure was aging and spread out across over a hundred locations. As a result, downtime was becoming more common and was very costly for their operations. Cisco’s Meraki devices allowed them to easily manage these separate locations and even have failover plans in place for when the location’s internet connection goes down.
